What is a Charity Challenge?
The CanDo Charity Challenge offers a new and exciting dimension to travel – it pushes the boundaries giving you an incredible adventure whilst raising funds for a great cause in South Australia.
Participants fundraise for CanDo4Kids or Deaf CanDo (or both) while completing a physical challenge and seeing the world from a different perspective.
Become a challenger and you will also make new friends, get fit and discover more about yourself and the world.
What kinds of challenges can I undertake?
There are literally hundreds of CanDo Challenge options to choose from such as skydiving, building houses in third world countries, cycling, trekking and volunteering. Our challenges take place in many locations throughout the world including Australia, China, Africa, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal, Mongolia, South America and Europe. There is even the opportunity to tailor a challenge according to your own personal goals or preferences.
Why a Charity Challenge?
- See the world
- Experience different cultures
- Achieve things you didn’t think possible
- Meet like-minded friends
- Get fit
- Raise funds and awareness for a great SA cause
- Because you can go anywhere and do anything!
Pay or Fundraise?
Most of our Challenges can either be paid for out of your own pocket, or you can choose to fundraise enough to both pay for the trip and raise much needed funds for your chosen charity(s). Both options support the charity(s) and provide you with the same awesome experience.
Do I need to be fit?
The fitness level required to complete a CanDo Challenge varies with each activity. Challenges are designed to be inclusive so people of all ages and fitness levels can participate. A sense of adventure and determination to achieve a reasonable level of fitness is all that’s required for most challenges. Trips are carefully managed with regular rest stops and fantastic support from staff, and your luggage is usually carried for you so you can concentrate on enjoying the challenge itself.
How do I raise money?
There are hundreds of ways to raise funds and our experienced fundraising staff will provide you with ideas and support every step of the way. Once you begin you will be amazed at how generous and supportive people are.
